Mellowing is a very important part of the soaking process, as it enables the inner parts of the rod to become fully pliable.

Hessian is ideal to use to mellow willow after it has been soaked. Hessian retains moisture while letting the willow breathe. Mellowing is a very important process as it helps willow to become supple.

Hessian sheet is available in two lengths;
1 meter suitable for wrapping willow up to 3ft in length
2 meter suitable for wrapping willow up to 8ft in length
