This two-day course, for advanced learners, will focus on the production of a stunning buff willow small washing basket.

Product description

This two-day course, for advanced learners, will focus on the production of a stunning buff willow small washing basket.

This course is only for those who are already competent and confident makers who want to progress their skills and work on a bigger project.

You should already be competent in:

  • 3 rod wale
  • french rand
  • simple borders
  • upsetting
  • making round and or oval bases

The course will cover:

  • oval bases
  • upsetting and pull down wales
  • hidden starts
  • working to a height & levelling
  • 4 behind 2 border
  • cranked handles

Please note:

  • this course is physically demanding and you need a good degree of manual dexterity. You will be standing for most of the weaving.

What do I need to bring?

  • Glasses (if you need them for close-up work).
  • Notebook and pen, if you wish to make notes.
  • Old clothes, covered, flat shoes (no sandals or open toes).
  • Something to tie hair back with (if needed).

All materials included. Suitable for all weaving levels, great for developing/advanced basketmakers 18+.
