Buff Willow Sticks

Product description

Buff sticks are smooth to the touch as the bark has been removed. Ideal to use as the framework and/or base sticks in baskets.
They are often used for basketry handles.

The small, medium, large buff stick sizing is in reference to the DIAMETER of the rod, not the length. All buff sticks are approx 7ft-8ft tall.

The Small handle bow sticks are approximately 1cm at the butt end and taper more than the standard buff sticks, and are approx 8ft tall.
They are idea for handle bow work, bottom or corner sticks, and are very flexible when soaked.

NOT SUITABLE FOR WEAVING OR FOR MAKING LANTERNS.
