Handbag or Shoulder Bag

Product description

Learn how to make a handbag or shoulder bag using our stunning willows, with leather or hemp handle– a great basket for beginners, or for those developing their weaving speed, control and style.

We will be working from a pre-drilled ply base (a great start for beginners as you can easily gain control and achieve a great looking basket) so that you can focus fully on learning:

• trac border
• 3 rod wale with hidden joins
• French randing in layers
• working with leather or hemp to create hand or shoulder straps
• 4 or 5 behind 2 border
• trimming and tidying the basket

All our courses are supported with after class notes, videos and help/advice sheets and blog content to help you continue your weaving journey.

Please note:

• this course is physically demanding and you need a good degree of manual dexterity.

What do I need to bring?

Glasses (if you need them for close-up work).
Notebook and pen if you wish to make notes, old clothes, covered, flat shoes (no sandals or open toes), something to tie hair back with (if needed)

All materials included. Suitable for all weaving levels, great for beginners 18+.
