Product description

Learn how to make a bowl-shaped basket- a great basket for those developing their weaving style.

Using our stunning willow in a variety of lengths and colours, you will design and create a truly unique bowl to take home.

You will work from a pre-woven willow base so that you can focus fully on learning:

  • initial upsetting to start the shaping
  • shaping and control throughout the bowl
  • spiral rope weave
  • 5 behind 2 border
  • selecting willow for each section of the bowl
  • trimming and tidying the bowl

Perfect for those who have made a few roundwork baskets on courses and at home and want to develop style, control and learn new weaves. This will also enable you to make round baskets using the same principles.

All our courses are supported with after-class notes, videos, help/advice sheets and blog content to help you continue your weaving journey.

Please note:

  • this course is physically demanding and you need a good degree of manual dexterity.

What do I need to bring?

  • Glasses (if you need them for close-up work).
  • Notebook and pen if you wish to make notes.
  • Old clothes, covered, flat shoes (no sandals or open toes).
  • Something to tie hair back with (if needed).

All materials included. Suitable for all weaving levels, great for beginners 18+.
Should you have any specific needs please make us aware before attending the course.
