Musgrove Willows Coffins has been growing and supplying willow for almost 100 years and for the past decade have been an industry leader in supplying bespoke willow coffins to funeral directors and the families we look after. Product sales are at record levels and our weavers are among the best in the business. We are now looking for an experienced machinist / seamstress to join our busy workshop team.
This role focuses on making calico liners, pillows and mattresses for our handmade willow coffins and ashes caskets, so previous pattern cutting and/or industrial sewing experience is essential. Coffin customisation and personalisation is becoming increasingly popular, so making bespoke liners and hand dyeing calico is also part of this position.
We also supply cotton funeral shrouds, gowns and stretcher covers to Funeral Directors across the UK. Deadlines can be tight, so the ability to work accurately under pressure is essential.
Requirements:

Our Company:
Musgrove Willows Coffins is based in Westonzoyland, Somerset, where all of our coffins are made with willow grown on our farm. Our coffins have passed rigorous testing for weight, strength, and environmental impact and are suitable for burial or cremation, and we are accredited by the Funeral Furnishing Manufacturer’s Association.
