Learn how to make a square or round beautiful contemporary basket (traditionally used as a Spanish cheese separating basket!) – a great basket for beginners or for those developing their weaving style.

The whole basket is put in place right at the start so careful selection of rods is key to this beautifully shaped basket. An exercise in control & flow & not so difficult to control as traditional English roundwork.

Ideal as a stunning shopper or handbag.

Perfect for absolute beginners or those with some weaving experience.

• this course is physically demanding & you need a good degree of manual dexterity.
• This workshop is suitable for beginners or people who have done some basketry before.
• You need a good level of manual dexterity in your fingers.
• Should you have any specific needs please make us aware before attending the course.

What do I need to bring?

• Glasses (if you need them for close-up work).
• Notebook and pen if you wish to make notes.
• Old clothes, covered, flat shoes (no sandals or open toes).
• Something to tie hair back with (if needed).

All materials included. Suitable for all weaving levels, great for beginners 18+.
