Dicky Meadows is a variety of the Salix Purpurea family. The rods are straight and slender. The width is similar to Brittany Green.

When dried, Dicky Meadows acquires a grey/pale green tint. It is anexcellent choice for fine basketry work. Dicky Meadows is another good variety for a beginner to use.  This variety is also used in the Jewish Festival of Sukkot.  Brown (dry) willow requires soaking and mellowing to make it pliable.

Willow is sold by weight. Approximate number of rods per kilo; 3ft - 510 rods, 4ft - 250 rods, 5ft - 120 rods, 6ft - 70 rods, 7ft - 55 rods
