A member of the Salix Purpurea variety. The top section of the rod turns a purple/dark brown when dry. An unsorted bundle will contain various different lengths. There may be grass and/or weeds in the bundle.
The dark colour gives Brittany Green a rustic feel making it a great choice for weaving medieval or re-enactment baskets.
