Willow Lampshade

Product description

Learn how to make a lampshade using beautiful willow and weaves suitable for creating texture and pattern in lighting.

You will choose to make a shade suitable for a table or pendant lamp 30,35 or 40cm in diameter.

We will be working from a bordering board that you can concentrate on learning:

• track bottom & top border
• 3 rod chase wale
• French or zig zag French
• Incorporating a hoop & a lampshade ‘spider’
• trimming & tidying the lampshade

Perfect for beginners or those who have made a few roundwork baskets and want to develop style, control and learn new weaves

Please note:

• this course is physically demanding and you need a good degree of manual dexterity.

What do I need to bring?

• Glasses (if you need them for close-up work).
• Notebook and pen if you wish to make notes.
• Old clothes, covered, flat shoes (no sandals or open toes).
• Something to tie hair back with (if needed).

All materials included. Suitable for all weaving levels, great for beginners 18+.
