Willow is measured against a rule marked in foot increments. A 4ft bundle of rods may contain a range of rods from 3ft to 4ft long.
Willow is sold in bundles and half bundles. Some varieties are also available in 1kg bundles. Decide on the length of willow rods you require and the available bundle weights will be displayed.
May not be suitable for planting.

Extremely flexible. Does not require soaking. Can stay flexible for up to 6 weeks. Rods will shrink as they dry out. Available in different varieties and various lengths. May not be suitable for planting.

Whissender is similar to Black Maul. The striking lime green/yellow rods are stout and robust – ideal for big work. As the bark dries the rods turn a warm brown/yellow colour.
Green (fresh cut) willow does NOT require soaking.

The rods have marks on one side from a hail storm. The marks can be hidden in a weave or left for a rustic look.
