The threat of COVID-19 is having a huge impact on most businesses and, unfortunately, we are no different.
The good news is that no members of our staff are exhibiting symptoms of this virus. We are still harvesting willow as quickly as the weather will allow and able to weave and dispatch willow coffins in 48 hours.
However, the latest guidance from Public Health England has forced us to make some difficult decisions. These mainly affect our willow weaving courses.
At present, customers are still able to collect ordered items from our farm. Obviously, if you are exhibiting symptoms of the virus, or have recently been in a highly infected area, please don’t visit us. We’d love to see you when you are fit and well!
Willow weaving courses
We have taken the difficult decision to postpone all the remaining weaving courses in March. This will affect courses on 18, 21, 22 and 28. If you are booked on one of these courses, we will be in touch. Our aim is to reschedule these courses for later in the year. We will make a decision on April’s courses in the 7 – 10 days.
Course gift vouchers will be extended.
Each of our willow coffins is made onsite with willow grown and processed here, so it is very much business as usual. If you are scheduled to visit us to help to weave a coffin for a loved one, we would ask anyone elderly or with underlying health problems to carefully consider making the journey. Again, anyone exhibiting symptoms of the virus or those who have recently visited a highly infected area should not visit.
We will continue to revise and update decisions based on the ongoing advice from Public Health England. In the meantime, we would like to wish all our customers the best of health and thank you for your support.
