Stan Derham has lived at his house in the village of Ham on the Somerset Levels since 1964, and worked on Fosters Farm in Knapp - one mile away to the east, where he was born, and which was set up by his father - for his entire working life.

This booklet, based on interviews recorded with Stan and his daughter Sarah, tells some of the stories of his working life and in so doing attempts to tell part of the story of willow growing in Somerset over the last 100 years.
